Totally on trend: wax casting instead of lead casting

Lead pouring is a popular custom at the end of the year. However, the use of lead, which is harmful to health, has been banned since 2018 for good reason. Since pouring and oracles are so popular at the end of the year, alternatives to lead are very popular. You don't have to buy a ready-made set for this, you can simply use the leftover beeswax you have collected.

Directions:

You need a good handful of wax scraps and ideally small silicone molds. Alternatively, you can use the inside of an old chocolate advent calendar. Heat the chopped wax scraps in a water bath, this works best with a medium-sized tin that you place in a saucepan. If you want to color the wax, add a piece of chopped wax crayon (approx. 1 cm). Stir constantly with a wooden stick until everything has melted. Then take the tin out of the water, carefully dry it and slowly pour the wax into the molds - after 10 minutes your basic equipment for wax casting is ready!
